Post tan care - Skinny Tan’s new tanning aftercare!

We’re always getting asked for product recommendations from our spray tan clients, keen to keep their spray tan looking on point for longer. So when I saw Skinny tan had released an aftercare range designed to care for your tan, whilst not adding any further colour (no DHA), I couldn’t wait to put it to the test!

First thing to mention about Skinny Tan, the online offers are amazing! Also as a brand they also sit nicely within our own business ethics, being vegan friendly, cruelty free and no nasty ingredients in their products. Big tick ✔️

There are three products comprising the no DHA aftercare;

*Cleansing Moisture Wash
*Moisture Hit Body Lotion
*Melting Moisture Body Balm

These are currently on a introductory offer, plus I got a free gift (exfoliating mitt) and at the checkout I was offered the Body Glow Skin Blur for £5, which was a no brainier!

Delighted to receive my goodies, my first instinct was to open and sniff everything....sure I’m not the only one that does this! The aftercare range has delicate and pleasant scent.

For experimenting, I’ve used Minetan X20 spray tan solution, a shade of colour I love but doesn’t usually last more then five days on me. I’ve taken pictures; pre-tan, the following day, after rinsing off the guide colour and one week later to show the results of using the Skinny Tan aftercare.

FYI - I am a regular gym user and I have showered daily using the Cleansing Moisture Wash, moisturising afterwards with either the body butter or the body lotion.....I personally prefer the body butter, as I love how nourishing and hydrating it feels, however it takes a while to sink in, so the lotion was perfect for those in a hurry moments. I did pop a little extra butter on elbows, knees and feet before bed.

Did it make a difference? Yes, my tan was still looking good by day seven! Slightly faded, but even. In fact it wasn’t till around day nine I Decided to remove my old tan and prepped ready for my next tan. The aftercare range definitely helped my tan last longer.
